The 7D FEMTO-LASIK (Femtosecond Laser in situ Keratomileusis) method is an advanced evolution of the traditional LASIK procedure. It is a state-of-the-art laser technique used to correct refractive vision errors.

Unlike conventional methods, the cornea is not opened with a scalpel but with a femtosecond laser. This laser technology operates with significantly greater precision than a scalpel. The resulting corneal flap (lamella) is therefore thinner, allowing for a more tissue-conserving treatment.

Every treatment begins with a non-binding, free initial consultation. During this meeting, we assess your suitability and discuss the expected results in detail.

Preliminary examinations

Using state-of-the-art technology, we carry out comprehensive diagnostic tests and take the time to answer your questions. If you and our team decide on the 7D FEMTO-LASIK method, we will provide detailed information about the procedure and aftercare.

On the Day of Treatment

We kindly ask you to avoid using makeup, face creams, perfume, or aftershave, as these can irritate the eyes. You may eat and drink normally before the procedure. Before starting the treatment, we’ll answer any final questions and explain the next steps in detail.

7D FEMTO-LASIK Procedure

Step-by-step to success

The actual laser treatment takes no more than ten minutes.

Schritt 1

Vorbereitung

Sie können vor der Behandlung normal essen und trinken, da wir lediglich Ihr Auge mit Augentropfen betäuben.

Schritt 2

Femtosekundenlaser

Zunächst wird die oberste Hornhautschicht mithilfe eines sogenannten Femtosekundenlasers präpariert. Dadurch entsteht eine dünne Lamelle, der sogenannte Flap.

Schritt 3

Flap

Diese Lamelle klappen wir für die Dauer der Behandlung zurück.

Schritt 4

Laserbehandlung

Daraufhin erfolgt die Korrektur der Fehlsichtigkeit durch den Excimer-Laser, die nur wenige Sekunden dauert.
Durch das Eye-Tracking-System arbeitet der Excimer-Laser sehr präzise und kann sofort auf kleinste Augenbewegungen reagieren.

Schritt 5

Abschluss Behandlung

Nach Abschluss der Laserbehandlung wird die Lamelle (Flap) sofort wieder zurückgeklappt. Die Lamelle saugt sich fest und verwächst innerhalb der folgenden Tage mit dem übrigen Teil der Hornhaut.

Anschließend verabreichen wir Ihnen infektionsvorbeugende und entzündungshemmende Augentropfen und setzen Ihnen eine Verbandskontaktlinse als Schutz ein.

Schritt 6

Nachkontrolle

Im Anschluss werden die Augen noch einmal kontrolliert.
Zudem vereinbaren wir gleich einen Termin zur Nachkontrolle mit Ihnen.

Follow-up Examinations

1. check-up: immediately after the treatment
2. check-up: one day after the treatment
3. check-up: one week after the treatment
All further follow-up appointments are scheduled individually as needed.
